A Teriyaki Salmon Bowl is the ultimate combination of health and flavor, blending tender, juicy salmon glazed with a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce. Served over a bed of fluffy rice and topped with vibrant vegetables, this dish is both visually appealing and packed with nutrients.
Combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, ginger, and garlic in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly. Let cool.
Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over them. Marinate in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon skin-side down for 3–4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
Assemble the bowl with steamed rice, broccoli, carrots, and edamame. Place the cooked salmon on top and drizzle with additional teriyaki sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
Notes
You can substitute salmon with tofu or chicken for variety. Adjust sweetness or saltiness of the teriyaki sauce to taste.
