Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease the cups.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients using a spatula. Stir just until combined.
Toss the chocolate chips in flour, then gently fold them into the batter.
Use an ice cream scoop to evenly fill the muffin cups about ¾ full. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or a handful of chopped nuts to the batter.
