Ingredients
  

Chocolate Base

  • 8 oz dark chocolate 70% cocoa, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp coconut oil for smoothness

Flavor and Toppings

  • 1/4 tsp saffron dissolved in warm water
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • 2 tbsp pistachios crushed
  • 2 tbsp almonds slivered
  • 1 tbsp candied orange peel finely chopped
  • edible gold leaf for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces. Melt using a double boiler, stirring until smooth. Add the coconut oil and stir until fully combined.
  • Add the saffron water and rose water to the melted chocolate, stirring gently to incorporate the flavors evenly.
  • Pour half of the melted chocolate into a mold. Sprinkle the pistachios, almonds, and candied orange peel evenly over the top.
  • Pour the remaining chocolate over the toppings, spreading evenly with a spatula. Let set at room temperature or refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Once set, carefully remove the chocolate bar from the mold. Garnish with edible gold leaf for a luxurious finish.
  • Break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

For extra shine, make sure your chocolate is properly tempered. You can also customize this recipe by adding dried rose petals or swapping nuts for hazelnuts or cashews.
